Safe Internet with Tcell

We live in a digital era, and more than 3.5 billion people around the world use the Internet. This number is steadily increasing. For many of us, the Internet is a vital tool that we use daily, on computers, phones or other devices. We use the Internet to communicate, collaborate, conduct research, carry out assignments, store information, make purchases, monitor accounts, and for many other reasons.

Unfortunately, the Internet, this useful and global resource, sometimes carries threats,  for of children and adolescents.
The modern generation of young people, the so-called Generation Y or Millenials, have constant access to the Internet, and are continually "on the net." Millenials were born after 1990, in the world of computers, mobile phones, video cameras and video games, in the era of the Internet. They communicate, express themselves, use the Internet, find in the network like-minded people, work and study online, using the boundless possibilities of the network. They quickly adapt to the new, quickly accept changes, create content themselves. Many admit that they can not imagine life without access to the Internet.

Tcell started a new long-term project "Internet Safety”. The project is aimed at high school students (14-17 years old) to increase their awareness of the practices of behavior in the network, Internet threats and ways to avoid them.
The first in a series of projects from Tcell was a lesson for the students of the Dushanbe Gymnasium "Hotam and PV." 30 students visited Tcell Head office from Grade 9 and 10. They went on a tour around the company's office and learned what the largest telecommunications company consists of and how it works, providing a reliable connection throughout the country. Schoolchildren met with the directors of various departments and with the CEO of Tcell, to whom they could ask any question.
Then the students attended an interactive "lesson" about security on the Internet. They learned about the correct, useful and safe ways to use the network, rules of conduct on the Internet, learned what to avoid and fear.
Internet fraud, hacking programs, viruses, false information, obscene content, communication with strangers and negative people are the threats that many schoolchildren all over the world face.

All these threats can be avoided if one observes simple rules of conduct on the network: do not trust strangers who want to get acquainted, do not leave personal information in the public domain, disagree on "profitable" offers, share with adult doubts and actions on the network, Links from unfamiliar recipients.

Tcell plans to continue the project "Internet Safety" for students in the capital's schools. Providing children with online security requires an integrated approach, through a developed technology industry and society. We are actively working to promote knowledge about the safe use of the Internet by children, young people, and their parents. Raising awareness of adolescents about the proper use of the network is an important strategic task for the company, as young people are active users of the network and future customers. As a socially responsible company, Tcell helps the society to develop in many spheres of activity, including education.
