4G from Tcell on the Roof of the World!
Tcell became the first company to provide the residents of Khorog with 4G connection.
Tcell develops and improves the network in GBAO. In the city of Khorog, near the Central Park, Tcell specialists installed a new base station of 4G standard. Now, the residents of Khorog have high-speed Internet access, up to 20 Mbit/s!
The city of Khorog is the center of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. Despite the inaccessibility and remoteness of the city from the capital, Khorog is distinguished by a high level of education - there are three higher educational institutions, which annually produce hundreds of professionals. There are many large business centers, offices, restaurants and hotels. Every year, the flow of tourists opening up the mountainous terrain of Tajikistan is increasing.
Obviously, there is a high need for reliable, stable and modern communication, in more efficient and faster performance.
Despite the difficulties in carrying out the transport network in high-altitude conditions, Tcell strives to develop a network in the region, opening up new technological opportunities for its residents. Most of the population of GBAO are Tcell subscribers, remaining loyal to the company for many years, so the improvement of the network is necessary. The new 4G base station will cover the center of the city of Khorog - Central Park, offices and business centers, bus station, theater, court, city police, hotels and restaurants, most of which are corporate clients of Tcell.
The standard 4G implies a new generation connection: with 4G it is most comfortable to download and upload files to the network, watch movies and listen to music online.

New base station will improve coverage in the region and expand the network coverage, especially for smartphone and Internet users. Now residents and guests of Khorog will be able to take advantage of reliable fourth generation connection from Tcell, opening up new opportunities for themselves. This innovation will allow the residents of Khorog get high-speed access to all resources of the global network: educational, informational, entertaining.
This is not the end of Tcell's plans for the development of the network in the region. In the near future, Tcell will expand the 4G network to the entire city of Khorog, as well as the centers of GBAO districts.
